Point 1
1 Bem-vindo à Fajã dos Padres
Welcome to this small, secluded spot site in Madeira with a fascinating history!
Why “Fajã dos Padres”?
A Fajã is a flat and cultivable piece of land, located at the sea level, and formed by materials detached from the cliffs, this type of land being very fertile.
It is called dos Padres because it was owned by the priests of Companhia de Jesus – the Jesuits from 1595 to 1759, just over 150 years.
